WELCOME to the 2nd California Regiment Young Marine Birthday Ball! This year marks the 62nd year since the Young Marines were founded in 1959! Our event hosts 16 units from 4 battalions and over 200 Young Marines, families, and friends. Please do not let your Young Marine miss the amazing experience of a Young Marine Birthday Ball which emulates the United States Marine Corps Birthday Ball. This is a time that your Young Marine is recognized for all of the hard work they have done and the time given throughout our communities. There will be a ceremony performed by many of our Young Marines (bring your tissues), dancing, food, and raffles.
We are very excited to announce that the Young Marine National Executive Director, Col William Davis, will be in attendance to read the Young Marine birthday message! We are also pleased to have former Young Marine, Major Ian Dick, as our guest speaker. And we are thrilled to welcome the Division 6 YMOY, YM/SgtMaj Base to our ball!
The staff and parent volunteers have worked very hard to put this together to honor these wonderful kids!

** Units/Guests are able to leave anytime after the awards and raffles take place, understanding many will have somewhat of a drive to get home **

YOUNG MARINE DRESS ATTIRE:
Young Marines ranked Private through Lance Corporal must wear the woodland pattern camouflage uniform with ribbons and plain white crew neck t-shirt.
Young Marines ranked Corporal or higher are to wear Service "C" uniform.
Young Marines ranked Staff Sergeant or higher are authorized to wear Service "A" uniform if available.

IMPORTANT: ALL YOUNG MARINES WITHOUT A PARENT/GUARDIAN NEED TO BE WALKED TO THE BALLROOM AND SIGNED IN/OUT WITH THEIR DESIGNATED REGISTERED VOLUNTEER ADULT (one of their unit adult staff members; if you don’t know who that is ASK your young marine) ABSOLUTELY NO DROP OFFS/PICK- UPS AT THE CASINO DOORS ARE PERMITTED- EVER. This is for the safety purposes.
TICKET CHECKOUT: Please be sure to answer the questions when prompted so that we can be sure to place you with your unit. The questions are ticket holder's name, email address, and unit. Be sure that those purchasing know their Young Marine's Unit. If we do not have this information you risk not sitting with your unit or by your Young Marine. Once seating is arranged there will be no adjustments.
*NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE DOOR* AGE 12 MONTHS AND YOUNGER DO NOT REQUIRE A TICKET, PER PECHANGA POLICY. ALL OTHER AGES WILL BE REQUIRED TO BUY A TICKET TO BE PURCHASED*
NEW CHECK-IN PROCEDURE: Be sure to either print or save your ticket barcode to your phone. If you do not have your ticket you will not be permitted within the ballroom. Upon ticket scan, all ticketed guests will receive a non-removable wristband. If you are caught without a wristband you will be billed for the ticket and be required to leave. Once again, ONLY ticketed guests with a wristband will be permitted into the ballroom.
LATE ARRIVALS: You will not be permitted into the ballroom until the retirement of colors. NO EXCEPTIONS. The doors will close at 6 pm for the start of the ceremony and open back up at 6:30 PM. Please do not be late.
RAFFLE BASKETS: Raffle baskets will be available to view prior to the ceremony. Additional raffle tickets will be sold inside the ballroom if interested. CASH ONLY.
YOUNG MARINE CHALLENGE COINS: These great mementos are being offered again this year. They are $3/coin and will be available at the ball. CASH ONLY. These funds go directly towards our Regiment as a fundraiser in support of the regiment and our Regiment Young Marine of the Year!
PHOTOGRAPHER: The Photography Specialist will be offering portraits to be taken again this year! You can opt to take individual pictures of your Young Marine or take family photos. He has some amazing backdrops and props and reasonable package prices. These make for great keepsakes and gifts!
